JAMB 2017 Registration Compromised By Hackers, 5 Persons Arrested
Five persons were reported to have
been arrested by the Nigeria Security
and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for
hacking into the Board’s registration
system and perpetrating various
registration fraud in the ongoing JAMB 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (UTME). It was learnt that some of the
suspects are licensed owners of
JAMB CBT Centres.
The suspects were arrested in Oyo,
Ogun and Borno States by officers and
men of the NSCDC and brought to
Abuja where they are being
interrogated.
According to JAMB spokesman, Dr
Fabian, what is more worrisome is the
fact that these suspects invested
heavily just to penetrate the Airtel
system JAMB is using to perpetrate all
forms of unwholesome practices.
"From investigation at the
headquarters of the NSCDC, it was
clear that they had powerful men
backing them to thwart the efforts of
JAMB.
